“The reason we moved to the Fury was simple.  We had heard that Michael D. was a good coach and we felt that at a smaller club our son would get more individual attention.  We were wrong.  Michael D. is a great coach.  And we have gotten the focused attention that we expected to receive.

Our son really enjoys playing for Michael D. and he seems to get the most out of every player.  I have been impressed with his usage and rotation of players.  Seems like every player gets to play at least half of the game.  Not like some clubs where the people coming off the bench may get token minutes.  He has also done an excellent job at creating good team chemistry where players from a number of different clubs have gelled to become a cohesive team.  Soccer is fun again for my son!

Most importantly, he is consistent, holds the boys to a high standard, and makes them accountable. I am most pleased with his focus on developing good young men, not just good soccer players. They are learning the game, but learning other life-long lessons such as looking a person in the eye when they speak to them, dedication, commitment, teamwork, respect for authority and the importance of attendance and punctuality, particularly in a group setting.

“If your son has aspirations to play soccer in college, this is definitely the club for him.  Coach Michael D helps prepare the boys for the physical, tactical, and mental challenges of college level soccer.  It is simply amazing to see the amount of improvement that has occurred since we started training in November.  While the transition to playing soccer in college will still be challenging, Michael D’s experience coaching at the college level allows him to bring that intensity to our club training sessions to better prepare our boys.  Due to Michael D's encouragement and guidance, my son is now comfortable contacting college coaches and is able to communicate effectively through email, phone conversations, and in direct interviews.  We are amazed at how many opportunities our team has had to be "seen" and evaluated by college coaches.  It is even nicer to know that when college coaches contact our club about players, the phone calls and emails are returned.  We are really looking forward to our next season together!”    —Sycamore
